5th November 2025 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong actor Francis Ng found himself at the centre of an amusing public transport misunderstanding recently, when a bus driver questioned his use of a concessionary travel card. The 63-year-old film veteran recounted the incident on social media, explaining that his youthful appearance led to suspicions he was misusing another person’s travel pass.
The actor revealed that upon boarding the bus and using his JoyYou Card, the driver expressed immediate doubt regarding his eligibility for the senior fare. The card is mandatory for Hong Kong residents aged 60 to 64 to access the government’s HK$2 concessionary public transport fare scheme.
