27th October 2025 – (Hong Kong) Veteran Hong Kong performer Benz Hui Siu-hung has been hospitalised. The 76-year-old actor was reported to be in a critical condition, though official details regarding his health remain unconfirmed.
Among those seen arriving at the medical facility were presenter Luisa Maria Leitão and actor Michael Miu with his wife. Television producers Jazz Boon and Lam Chi-wah were also in attendance. Observers noted the visitors appeared solemn as they entered the hospital.
The actor has substantially reduced his professional workload in recent years, relocating to Singapore with his family to enjoy a semi-retired lifestyle. He has developed a reputation within the industry as a devoted father, fully supporting his daughter, Charmaine Hui, in her entrepreneurial ventures.
To support his daughter’s business ambitions, Hui provided substantial financial backing for her to establish multiple cafés and a bakery in Singapore. Despite often playing supporting roles on screen, Hui is known to have considerable personal means and owns a spacious detached residence in Singapore valued in the tens of millions.
