9th November 2025 – (Hong Kong) TVB’s The Queen of News 2 is set to premiere at 8.30pm next Monday, 10th November, on Jade, and has already generated significant audience interest ahead of its debut. The production has quietly refreshed its end‑theme arrangement, with the first season’s song Crystal Clear, originally performed by Gigi Yim, now re‑recorded by another artist whose identity has been officially revealed.
Crystal Clear, the closing track from the original series, earned the title of Best Television Song at the 2023 TVB Anniversary Awards and was previously sung by Yim, who has since departed TVB. While the sequel retains Crystal Clear as its ending theme, the new rendition is performed by Quinn Lui. Viewers had already detected the change when the drama’s trailer dropped in May; with the broadcast of The Queen of News 2, the credits confirmed Lui as the vocalist.
Lui, 41, is the lyricist of Crystal Clear and has an extensive portfolio contributing vocals to TVB dramas. Her career spans backing vocals for top‑tier stars; she first drew industry attention after performing as a backing singer at the 2009 Sam Hui and George Lam concert, where the late musician Albert Young spotted her talent. She subsequently worked behind the scenes and as a vocal coach.
In 2015, veteran manager Paco Wong signed her to Sun Entertainment as the lead singer of the band ZolarWind. She left the group in 2018 to pursue a solo path and, in 2025, signed with TVB Music Group, formally becoming a TVB‑affiliated artist.
