28th October 2025 – (Hong Kong) Veteran actor Benz Hui remains hospitalised as colleagues from the entertainment industry continue to visit the medical facility where he is receiving treatment. The actor’s condition was reported to be serious yesterday, though specific details about his illness have not been officially disclosed.
Among those paying visits was acclaimed actor Chow Yun-fat, who arrived at the hospital shortly after 9am today. Dressed entirely in black and wearing a cap, Chow offered a courteous wave to waiting photographers before proceeding inside. The two performers have maintained a friendship since first collaborating on a television drama in 1979.
Another visitor, Raymond Lam, attended the hospital yesterday but departed without providing comments to journalists. Fellow actress Alice Fung So-Po previously indicated that Hui required an oxygen mask but remained conscious and responsive to visitors’ voices.
The professional relationship between Chow and Hui spans several decades, including their work together on the series “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” alongside actress Carol Cheng. Hui had previously reflected on the close-knit atmosphere among cast members during that production, noting their extended social gatherings before and after filming sessions.
