31st October 2025 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong radio personality Kitty Yuen has formally concluded her long-running broadcasting career, recording her final programme alongside co-host Sammy Leung on Thursday. The departure marks the end of an era for the popular show “Good Morning King,” which had become a staple for many listeners over its extended broadcast period.
Yuen, who previously announced her decision to leave the station alongside colleague Kaki Leung, reflected on her career during the emotional final recording session. She expressed particular appreciation for her professional partnership with Leung, describing their relationship as an enduring bond that had become “inseparable like family” through their extensive shared experiences.
Addressing widespread speculation about her future plans, Yuen explicitly dismissed online rumours suggesting she would become the manager for singer Gigi Yim or assume an executive position at Viu TV. She characterised these possibilities as “zero, even negative,” citing her self-assessed lack of suitability for managerial responsibilities.
Following the programme’s conclusion, Leung will join existing presenters in a reconfigured show titled “Bad Girl.” He acknowledged the emotional difficulty of the transition, noting Yuen’s departure had prompted a period of professional reevaluation before finding a new collaborative arrangement.
Yuen indicated her immediate focus would shift toward family commitments, particularly dedicating more time to her parents. While not planning elaborate travels, she emphasised the importance of simple companionship through routine activities like sharing meals. The broadcaster received numerous messages from long-time listeners following her announcement, many noting how the programme had accompanied them through various life stages from adolescence to parenthood.
