TVB’s reality dating show A Date with Goddess <女神配對計劃> has sparked buzz in town, pushing up the popularity of its five “goddesses” – Maggie Leung (梁敏巧), Stephanie Lee (李芷晴), Carman Kwan (關嘉敏), Sophie Yip (葉蒨文) and Yuki Law (羅毓儀).
Kalok Chow is One Busy Man
Striking while the iron’s hot, TVB recently invited fans to suggest possible male celebrities on its Weibo account. “Since we’re all here, why not have some fun and share who you think would be perfect for ‘A Date with Nanshen’ (literally Male God)?”
The post even featured three suggested “male gods”, Kalok Chow (周嘉洛), Karl Ting (丁子朗) and Ricco Ng (吳偉豪). While it was emphasized that these were just the social media admin’s personal picks, netizens quickly began speculating that TVB might be planning a male spin-off of the dating show. However, many opposed the inclusion of Kalok Chow, saying he “belongs to Jeannie Chan”, “he’s with Ricco Ng!” and also “Kalok Chow is with Brian Chu (朱敏翰)!”

Some users even tagged Kalok Chow directly, playfully urging him to respond, saying “You must be super busy, belonging to three persons. How do you even manage your time?”
Many also opposed to Karl Ting whom they commented already has a girlfriend; since dating shows thrive on drama, the participants should at least be genuinely single, to respect their partners.
Proposing other suitable candidates. One name that came up was Sky Chiu (焦浩軒) as they were keen to see the ‘Come Home Love’ trio, while Joey Law (羅天宇), Aska Cheung (張馳豪), Archie Sin (冼靖峰), and Danny Hung (孔德賢) were among those who received votes.
