21st December 2025 – (Hong Kong) Veteran Hong Kong action star Yuen Biao, now 68, has drawn widespread praise from fans after a rare public appearance showed him looking remarkably youthful and physically fit decades after his heyday in the territory’s film industry.
Yuen, who broke into Hong Kong cinema in the 1970s and went on to feature in numerous classic local action productions, has significantly reduced his workload in recent years, focusing mainly on online film projects in mainland China. He has seldom been seen in public, making his latest social gathering with fellow actor Shek Sau and Shek’s son, Chan Yu-sum, particularly eye‑catching for long‑time admirers.
Photographs shared by Shek Sau show Yuen dressed in a dark blue, long‑sleeved top, standing with a straight back and wearing a warm, relaxed smile. Despite being well past retirement age, he appears in robust shape, with a lean, muscular frame and a full head of black hair that many observers described as “age‑defying”.
Online, the images rapidly attracted a flood of comments expressing admiration for his condition and his enduring skills. Many users hailed him as the most technically accomplished member of the famed “Seven Little Fortunes” troupe from the China Drama Academy, where he trained alongside Jackie Chan, with whom he has long enjoyed a close friendship.
