Fresh from her trip to Bengal, Katy Kung (龔嘉欣) attended a charity fundraising event. Alongside her as volunteer ambassadors at the event were Carlos Chan (陳家樂) and Kira Chan (陳葦璇). Regarding rumors about her leaving TVB, Katy shut down the gossip and explained, “That’s not true. I’ve just been low-key, focusing on charity. Filming will come later.”
Katy confessed that doing charity makes her feel truly happy and fulfilled. On her personal life, she revealed she recently hosted a birthday party for her godson, where longtime friends teased her about becoming a mother. “They passed me baby clothes, saying I love kids and know how to take care of them, so there’s no reason I’m not a mom yet. They even buy me folic acid!” Laughing, she said, “You’re all more anxious than me! But I don’t have a target yet.”
Carlos, who recently celebrated his daughter’s first birthday, confessed the charity hit close to home after a colleague bluntly told him, “Imagine your daughter being sold as a teenager with no freedom. Are you okay with that?” He instantly replied, “Of course not.” Thinking of his daughter made him realize the painful reality other families face.
When Carlos was asked if he would write a song for his daughter, he admitted to being tempted, but has not concocted anything solid yet. He joked that his wife, Shiga Lin (連詩雅), would sometimes say, “My wife sometimes complains I treat my daughter like another lover.”
