19th November 2025 – (Taipei) Taiwanese music superstar Jay Chou has revealed major frustrations with the creative process for his upcoming studio album, sharing a series of candid social media posts with his followers. The acclaimed artist expressed particular exasperation with the technical complexities of music production, showcasing a photograph of his workspace tangled with audio cables and questioning the necessity of dozens of audio tracks for a single song.

In a reflective moment, the singer-songwriter admitted to feeling “a bit fed up with perfectionism,” a trait he described as maddening. He characterised his own approach not as a quest for flawlessness, but as being “picky,” and announced a new intention to relinquish some of his musical stubbornness. Chou mused that perhaps music only needs to be enjoyable, noting that there is “no Guinness World Record” for such meticulous audio adjustments.

The artist contrasted his own intense work ethic with the relaxed life of his pet dog, which he filmed sleeping peacefully. He also drew a parallel to his childhood, recalling a memory of being required to practice the piano indoors while watching other children playing outside, a sentiment echoed by his current inability to go outdoors for sports due to a prolonged period of inclement weather in Taiwan.
