9th November 2025 – (Macao) South Korean singer HyunA, renowned for her sultry stage presence, collapsed during her set at the Waterbomb music festival in Macao today. Dressed in a denim stage outfit, she was performing when she suddenly fell to the floor. Backup dancers rushed to assist before staff carried her offstage for urgent attention.
The incident came amid wider controversy surrounding this year’s Macau edition of Waterbomb. Before Tyson Yoshi was due to appear, organisers announced his set had been cancelled, saying the artist’s team had unilaterally refused to perform. Tyson Yoshi’s side countered that the promoter opened doors without notice and pressed ahead without completing essential stage mechanism tests, leaving conditions unsuitable for rehearsal or performance.
Later that night, HyunA posted an apology on social media, expressing regret to fans who had paid to attend and describing her conduct as unprofessional. She said she had little recollection of the moment but assured supporters she was fine, adding that she would work to improve her stamina and maintain consistent preparation. She also thanked fans for their long‑standing support since her early years.
HyunA, who recently married fellow singer Yong Jun‑hyung, has reportedly been dieting following a period of sudden weight gain and is said to have returned to the 40‑kilogram range.
