19th November 2025 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong rap duo Fama, comprising Sze-kwan “C Kwan” Cheng and Billy Luk Wing Kuen, are celebrating their 25th year in the industry by unveiling their own venture, So Fa So Cool. The pair, who rose from the underground scene to become household-name hosts, singers and entertainers, said the new company will extend their work beyond performing to include promotion, creation and production.
Announcing the launch on social media, Fama reflected on their journey from modest beginnings to industry mainstays, calling on collaborators, investors and creatives to cultivate success together across the wider field. They signalled an intention to build a platform that fosters partnerships and shared projects, aiming to spread their creative harvest far and wide.
Fama first broke into the mainstream with the hit 456Wing, which enjoyed heavy airplay on radio and won strong support online. On the recommendation of their longtime manager DJ Tommy, they subsequently signed to CMD, the label co-founded by Edison Chen and Hanjin Tan. Their collaboration with feng shui master Mak Ling-ling on the track Feng Sheng Shui Qi became a street-level anthem and sealed the duo’s popularity.
In 2010, the pair left CMD to continue under DJ Tommy at TG Management. Their latest move sees them formalise a new chapter by establishing So Fa So Cool, with Fama as the first act on the roster as the company positions itself for both front-of-house performances and behind-the-scenes production.
