18th December 2025 – (Hong Kong) Rachel Chung, 35, a socialite widely labelled Hong Kong’s “most notorious mistress” over her years-long affair with married Tai Sang Bank chairman Patrick Ma Ching-hang, 66, has reignited public debate after sharing an intimate moment on Instagram.
In a video post, Chung praised Ma as “very considerate”, revealing he queued to buy sanitary pads for her. “He sometimes annoys me, but most of the time he’s very thoughtful,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji. On camera, she explained, “He’s gone over there to the street, but actually he’s buying pads for me… it’s not exactly sweet, but it’s very caring — do you get what I mean?” When Ma asked whether she wanted to take photos first or shop first, Chung pointed out a nice backdrop and Ma immediately encouraged, “Go on, take the shot,” before dutifully snapping pictures — a rare on-camera appearance for the publicity‑shy banker.
After the mini photoshoot, Chung teased that Ma often takes pictures when she is unprepared: “Always when I’ve got my period or I’m not dressed up… the worst was when he kept filming me heavily pregnant — I don’t even want to look back; I looked like a sea lion.” When she mentioned feeling cold, Ma offered, “Why don’t you head back? I’ll buy [the pads] for you.” The clip then shows the billionaire chairman queuing at the till, arms full of sanitary products — an image that surprised many viewers for its lack of airs and graces.
The video swiftly drew a wave of praise online, with comments such as “a real man”, “that’s love”, “the rarest thing is you both tolerate each other”, and “he treats you so well — truly blessed”. Many were moved by the 66‑year‑old tycoon’s willingness to handle such a personal errand, calling it a genuine gesture of affection, with one remarking, “It’s rare even for the wealthy to do this.”
