9th December 2025 – (Hong Kong) Bandai Namco Asia will open its first official flagship “THE GUNDAM BASE” in Hong Kong on 20th December 2025 at The Twins Tower II, Kai Tak. Spanning nearly 4,500 square feet, the store will operate from 11am to 8pm and will combine Gunpla retail, themed exhibitions, hands‑on build experiences and a full range of branded merchandise.
To mark the launch, the venue will showcase a world‑exclusive 1:2‑scale God Gundam giant half‑bust. Including its base, the installation stands around eight metres tall, recreating the signature “Erupting Burning Finger” pose from Mobile Fighter G Gundam, complemented by a sun‑disc effect to the rear. Additional highlights include a 1.8‑metre RX‑78‑2 statue in a special livery, alongside dioramas that blend Hong Kong landmarks with Gundam mobile suits to evoke Victoria Harbour’s skyline.
Entry during the opening period will be managed by advance reservation. Places are allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis via The Twins Rewards mobile app. Each member may book one session on a single day, with visits capped at one hour per slot.
