31st October 2025 – (Hong Kong) Former Miss Hong Kong contestant Krystal Yang, who caught public attention in 2018 for her ethereal looks despite failing to make the final cut, has revealed she was rushed to hospital after a bout of suspected food poisoning. Yang disclosed via Instagram Stories that she required an ambulance and suffered vomiting severe enough to cause bleeding, with images showing her in an emergency vehicle with a tube inserted in her arm, prompting concern among fans.
Yang, who moved from mainland China to Hong Kong for her studies before entering the pageant, signed with TVB following the competition but later exited the entertainment industry, citing low pay and limited opportunities. She subsequently pivoted to finance and, in recent years, returned to academia to complete an MBA at the University of Hong Kong while launching her own fashion label. Her entrepreneurial venture has grown steadily alongside her academic achievements.
Beyond her career transition, Yang’s personal life has also flourished. In December two years ago, she announced on Instagram her engagement to boyfriend Dennis, showcasing a 3.5‑carat diamond ring reportedly valued in excess of HK$1 million. The couple held a romantic wedding in Switzerland last July and have frequently shared affectionate updates since.
