Members of the popular boy group MIRROR have been working hard to expand their presence in the broader Asian market. MIRROR’s Edan Lui (呂爵安) will make his Korean drama debut after seven years in the industry. He will star alongside acclaimed actor Lee Je Hoon in the highly anticipated third season of the hit series Taxi Driver. Edan will portray a mysterious and unpredictable ally to Lee Je Hoon’s character.
Edan is fortunate to join the well-loved series for its third season. The show is led by Lee Je Hoon, who won the SBS Drama Awards for Best Actor in the Fantasy Mini-Series genre for his performance in Season 1. He went on to win the Grand Prize (Daesang), the highest honor, for Season 2. The series is considered one of Lee Je Hoon’s signature works alongside Signal.
Taxi Driver is adapted from a webtoon and tells the story of a secret organization which helps victims who cannot get justice through legal means by executing revenge on their behalf. The company masquerades as a taxi service, which serves as the perfect cover for their business. The series premiered its first season in 2021 and was a massive hit. The second season aired in 2023 and achieved an impressive finale rating of 21 percent.
According to reports, Taxi Driver 3 is scheduled to be released later this year. In addition to Lee Je Hoon, original cast members Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram will also return.
