Chinese heartthrob Dylan Wang (王鶴棣) has seemingly disappeared from the public eye recently, but has in fact been stationed on set, for his latest xianxia drama Live Long and Prosper <鹹魚飛升>, alongside Li Qin (李沁) and Flourished Peony‘s <錦繡芳華> villainess Zhang Yaqin (張雅欽).
Dylan’s costumes in this drama are diverse, each praised by fans for showcasing a different kind of charm, with each design carrying symbolic meaning to add. One ethereal white outfit features a robe embroidered with golden wheat sheaves to symbolize a bountiful harvest, showing the stylist’s thoughtful attention to detail.
Recently, he was also spotted filming a blacksmithing scene in a short, slanted brown top that exposed his toned chest and defined arm muscles. As the director called for action, Dylan swung a hammer with force, his sweat and the flying sparks combining into a visually spectacular moment described as “off-the-charts in sensual energy.” Behind-the-scenes photos of this scene have gone viral online, with netizens calling it incredibly eye-catching, sparking their heated discussions.
Both of the drama’s actresses, Li Qin and Zhang Yaqin also appeared in equally ethereal costumes. In one visually delightful scene, Li Qin holds hands with Dylan by a lotus pond, and the two are seen flying through the air on wires. Drama Synopsis
Adapted from the novel of the same name, the drama follows its protagonist “Number One Cultivator in the Immortal World”, who, after being reborn, aspires to live a carefree life like a “salted fish”. However, by a twist of fate, he crosses paths with a group of like-minded companions and gets unwillingly drawn into sect rivalries.
