14th November 2025 – (Singapore) A red carpet event for the “Wicked: For Good” premiere in Singapore was disrupted on 13th November when an individual breached security and accosted singer and actress Ariana Grande. Video footage from Universal Studios Singapore captured the moment a man ran onto the yellow carpet and physically grabbed the performer.

In a swift defensive move, Grande’s co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately intervened, placing herself between the individual and Grande and helping to pull him away before security personnel escorted him from the area. The incident left Grande visibly shaken, with Erivo and fellow cast member Michelle Yeoh seen offering comfort in the aftermath.

The individual involved was identified via social media as Johnson Wen, known online as ‘Pyjama Man’. On his verified Instagram account, Wen posted a clip of the encounter with a caption thanking Grande for “letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You,” a statement that drew widespread criticism from other users who condemned his actions as an assault.

This is not the first such incident involving Wen, who has a documented history of rushing stages at celebrity events. In June, he was arrested and charged after running onto a stage and grabbing Katy Perry during a concert in Sydney.

The unsettling event also recalls a recent trend of similar confrontations, including an incident weeks earlier where pop singer Billie Eilish was violently pulled by a member of the crowd during a concert in Miami.
