She and her husband, Law Kar-ying, have recently embarked on a new project for TVB, the travel programme Take Liza to the World, jetting off to Bhutan for filming. While this collaborative appearance has generated significant excitement amongst their fanbase, it has also prompted widespread concern for the senior artist’s well-being following her appearance at Hong Kong’s airport.
Observant netizens have further highlighted a potentially taxing work schedule, noting that Wang’s social media updates are frequently timestamped in the early hours of the morning, around four or five o’clock. For a public figure nearing eighty, such a demanding routine and apparent lack of rest has been viewed by supporters as excessively strenuous. Fans have pointed out that she has just concluded duties for the 15th National Games and has immediately commenced work on the travel series, with major annual events like the TVB Anniversary Gala and Operation Santa Claus still ahead.
Photographs and video footage from the airport departure showed the couple, who were colour-coordinated in pink, posing cheerfully with colleague. However, beneath the cheerful send-off, worries about Wang’s physical condition were growing. Appearing without makeup, the esteemed Liza was described as looking noticeably pale. Even while leaning on a luggage trolley for support and holding onto her husband’s arm, her gait was observed to be somewhat unsteady and faltering.
This visible fatigue stands in contrast to the sprightliness of her 77-year-old husband, Law Kar-ying. Despite recently revealing his fourth battle with cancer and managing substantial luggage, Law was seen moving with considerably more energy and vigour at the airport.
