One half of popular Cantopop duo Twins, Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) has in recent years focused her career development in mainland China. Once enjoying a solo lifestyle in a luxurious Shanghai apartment, Gillian has since relocated to Beijing, and recently gave audiences a rare peek into her luxury home on the mainland variety show Wonderful Friends <神奇的朋友>!

Giant Walk-in Closet

Upon entering her lavish 2,000 square feet home, there was a large shoe cabinet, an L-shaped sofa and a massive television in the living room. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide ample natural light, while an exercise bike take up a corner of living room. Her wooden shelves are filled with trendy items and collectibles. Turning the dining area into a leisure and entertainment-friendly zone, Gilian placed just two single armchairs and a small round table there. She revealed that she plans to convert this area into a mahjong space, so she can invite friends over to play.

Enclosed with floor-to-ceiling glass panels, her kitchen is fully equipped and even has a TV installed, allowing her to cook while watching shows. Not forgetting her giant walk-in closet with a large makeup vanity, racks of clothes, endless pairs of sunglasses and shoes, and over a dozen designer luggage pieces. Sorting through her unused items, Gillian plans to sell on second-hand online platforms in an eco-friendly move.

Nicknamed showbiz’s “wealthy little landlady” in showbiz, Gillian once purchased a unit at Wise Mansion in Mid-Levels West for HK$5.7 million. Later, she acquired two units at 31 Robinson Road for over HK$30 million. She also bought Unit C on the lower floor of Tower 1 at The Harbourside in West Kowloon for HK$9.79 million (usable area of 864 square feet), and sold it in 2017 for HK$11.52 million — earning a profit of HK$1.73 million on paper. The actress currently holds several properties, including units developed by her own company in Kennedy Town and Wise Mansion, with conservative estimates placing the total value of her real estate holdings at over HK$100 million.
