24th October 2025 – (Hong Kong) The Taiwanese beverage establishment SOMA, frequently described by enthusiasts as producing the region’s premier tea drinks, has announced plans to open its inaugural Hong Kong location. The new outlet will be situated in the K11 MUSEA shopping complex in Tsim Sha Tsui, according to a post made on its newly created official Hong Kong social media channel.
The brand, which previously operated a temporary pop-up store in the city last August, is recognised for its refined, artisanal approach to tea-based beverages. Its reputation was cemented after winning a public vote of 500,000 participants during a Taiwanese milk tea festival, an event that led to its widespread acclaim.
SOMA’s menu features a selection of signature beverages that have garnered a loyal following. Among its most popular offerings are the Original Tea Au Lait, Mijyan Oolong Tea Au Lait, and Kyoto Hojicha Tea Au Lait. Other notable creations include the Qingsen Apple Mijyan Oolong and specialty items such as Black Sesame Pearl Tea.
The brand’s official list of customer favourites also highlights beverages like the Essence Tea Au Lait, Banquet Tea, and Childhood Memory drink. Additional menu items praised for their quality include the VSOP Pearl Tea and the Yuenyeung Pearl Tea Au Lait.
While the precise opening date and operational details for the K11 MUSEA venue remain to be finalised, the announcement has generated considerable anticipation amongst local consumers. The establishment is expected to introduce Hong Kong patrons to its range of celebrated teas and non-alcoholic mocktails. Further information regarding the launch is anticipated to be released through the brand’s official communication channels in the coming weeks.
