25th December 2025 – (Shenzhen) Timmy Hung and his wife, Janet Chow, have confirmed they have moved with their two children from Hong Kong to make their home in Shenzhen. Chow announced the decision in a recent video posted on Xiaohongshu, saying the family was excited by the change of environment but admitting the move was physically exhausting, describing it as the toughest they have ever undertaken. “I never want to move house again in my life,” she said.

Chow shared behind-the-scenes footage of the relocation, revealing that after many years in Hong Kong, their home had accumulated a vast amount of belongings. Simply sorting, packing and decluttering demanded immense effort, and she repeatedly injured her back in the process. The couple chose not to hire a removals firm, instead insisting on doing the work themselves. Chow added that the experience showcased their family bond: “We can share both the good times and the hardships.”

The family bade farewell to their three-storey, approximately 2,000 sq ft detached house at The Beverly Hills in Tai Po. Hung’s professional focus has increasingly shifted to mainland China in recent years, with only occasional projects in Hong Kong, and frequent travel across the border. He has previously spoken of his intention to settle on the mainland, a goal now realised with the move to Shenzhen.
