24th December 2025 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung returned to the Hong Kong Coliseum after a two‑year hiatus to commence a 20‑date run of his 60+ Concert Tour’s Hong Kong finale. Although yesterday (23rd December) marked the 305th performance of the tour, he appeared in peak form, flashing a “rock on” gesture to more than a hundred fans outside after a pre‑show blessing ceremony. He said he was unconcerned about surpassing Alan Tam’s decade‑long record for the most solo shows at the Coliseum, adding that his only wish was for the New Year concerts to proceed smoothly.
The evening began at 8pm sharp to a full house. Cheung made a striking entrance in leather jacket and trousers, standing atop a blue open‑top Beetle that rotated 360 degrees, before launching into a series of high‑energy numbers that ignited the crowd.
Before the show, Cheung joined nearly a hundred crew members backstage for a traditional blessing, drawing devoted fans from Hong Kong, the Mainland, Japan and South Korea, who gathered with placards to cheer him on. Appearing around 5pm in his tour outfit, cap and mask, he greeted supporters, took part in the ritual and roast‑pig cutting, and confidently posed with a “rock” hand sign.
Marking 40 years in the industry, Cheung’s cumulative tally of solo performances at the Coliseum has now reached 203 with this tour, surpassing Alan Tam’s 193. “I’m not focused on records,” he said. “I just want the concerts to run smoothly.” He noted his health and stamina were holding up well after so many dates, though he admitted performing is never relaxing for him: “Others might find it easy, but not me — I’m naturally a bit tense. The rundown has evolved over the past two‑plus years; we always make tweaks.”
